Background: Adult equitation horse with poor hoof conformation, toed-in lame RF. Lameness localized to the foot. Referred for MRI.
Diagnosis: Tear of the collateral ligament of the coffin joint, with remodeling at attachment to the coffin bone.
Treatment / Outcome: Treated with corrective shoeing, shockwave therapy, Direct stem cell injection, IRAP therapy. Rested for 6 months. Horse recovered, returned to full work.
